For me, art is a reflection of humanity in its purest form. Everything around us is a reflection of who we are, our past, present and future. From architects, to spirituals to scientists and performers included. We all put into the world a piece of ourselves whether we like to admit this or not. Dance (in my audacious opinion) is the purest form of expression. It is the highest level of intelligence in the body as well as communicating things which cannot be through words. For this reason I choose to be a freelance dance artist. I want to use dance to communicate humanity. I am passionate about progressive change and addressing these issues through art.
My dance is expressive and raw. Never perfect, but continuously growing, evolving and seeking endless potential. Just as humanity is (or atleast the way I see it)
Being an educated, creative young black British Nigerian female; I have a lot to say. Too much to say. Through dance I have become an artist who can communicate and be her true self through her art form. Through dance and art I am willing to advocate for progressive change. I am going to create works which will make people think, spark conversation and help others reach their fullest potential.
